During my time as a Cardinal Caller, I called hundreds of alumni to verify their contact information, engage them in conversation about their time at Ball State University, as well as inform them about recent events happening on campus. After that was complete, I would ask them to donate to a specific fund at the University. I would also attempt to get them to donate through credit card to ensure completion of their gift.

I raised over $16,000 for the University during my 9 month tenure, and recorded 222 pledges with a 30% credit card rate. I was able to gain valuable customer service experience, as I often dealt with alumni who didn't have a positive feeling towards the University and were occasionally hostile in their interactions. I always represented Ball State University with the utmost professionalism, and feel better prepared to represent my future company going forward as a result of this experience.
